The University of Lincoln are seeking an Associate Professor for Allied Health Professions to join our academic team. This Associate Professor (principal lecturer equivalent) post will have a significant leadership role within the School of Health and Social Care. The post holder will work to support the diversification of our business, the development of our educational portfolio, and the enhancement of teaching and learning quality and innovation. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to be able to develop and sustain excellent working relationships with external agencies across the health and social care sector.

You will join a team of experienced Associate Professors to provide leadership to staff delivering programmes across our portfolio, overseeing our Allied Health provision and supporting the Head and Deputy Heads of School. You should be able to demonstrate evidence of innovation in curriculum design and development, have experience of programme leadership, and understand the quality requirements associated with programmes approved by the Health and Care Professions Council. We are seeking to expand our portfolio of Allied Health provision at pre- and post-registration levels, and you will have significant responsibility for these developments.  

Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, overlooking the Brayford Marina, the school is housed within the Sarah Swift building, containing state-of-the-art purpose-built clinical teaching suites, offices and teaching spaces for health care and other programmes. The University of Lincoln has built an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research and is top 20 for student satisfaction in the Guardian University Guide 2022.

The School of Health and Social Care sits within the College of Social Science and is growing rapidly with over 1800 students across a range of undergraduate, post-graduate degrees, post registration continuous professional development and apprenticeship programmes. We also have a vibrant interprofessional research community lead by Professors whose focus is to enhance people’s health and wellbeing and to reduce health inequalities, with focuses on primary care, rural health and ageing.

The School has a base budget exceeding £12m and over 150 academic and research staff, practice educators and professional services staff. We have Professors and Global Professors who lead applied research in cross-disciplinary research groupings. We welcome applicants interested in teaching and scholarly activity or teaching and research role profiles.
