BNU continues to experience rapid growth in student numbers, making us one of the fastest-growing higher education providers. This is an exciting time to join the University as we invest significantly in estate developments and welcome Jay Blades MBE as our inaugural Chancellor.

The University has recently invested in a large estate redevelopment plan which includes over £3m in state-of-the-art skills and simulation suites; located across 3 campuses, High Wycombe, Uxbridge and Aylesbury. These facilities include clinical and community simulated environments, Simbulances, digital and VR applications and dedicated immersive rooms to provide excellent learning opportunities for nursing, midwifery and allied health courses.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the development and delivery of our Skills and Simulation Strategy. The strategy will support the university’s’ journey to being recognised as a centre of excellence for simulation. The post holder will work collaboratively to design and delivery of clinical skills and simulation education across the university’s health and social care provision.

The post holder will actively engage in current and new projects examining the use of simulation for placement learning. The post holder will be expected to lead on simulation product market analysis and liaise with key stakeholders in the acquisition of additional resources. The role will include working with the discipline leads and the Skills and Simulation Technician teams to deliver innovative and evidence-based curriculum to enhance graduate outcomes and play a key role in simulation evaluation and research.
