This new post is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Neuroscience at The University of Sheffield to support research teams across the department to deliver high-class clinical research. The key responsibilities of this role are to work alongside clinical research teams to enable Principal Investigators to deliver and run clinical research studies looking at biosample collection from patients who attend Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for support the Research Nurse team to in screening, recruitment and collection of biosamples and documentation of accurate data, delivering a high quality service while safeguarding the well-being of patients in line with ICH GCP. You will work collaboratively with the clinical research teams and wider multi-disciplinary teams.

This opportunity requires an individual with drive, ambition and a genuine desire to improve the lives of people living with long-term neurological conditions. You will need to possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to demonstrate you have experience of caring for patients either within a field in neurology or clinical research. You will also need to demonstrate your understanding of the research process, the importance of robust recruitment strategies and have knowledge of GCP and research legislation in order to promote research and achieve successful recruitment targets and make research accessible for patients.

The post is fixed term to 30th November 2027 and available immediately.
