September 20, 2023 – The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry and the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, will be hosting a Japanese delegation in Ottawa on September 21. This delegation will be led by his Excellency Nishimura Yasutoshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

In the morning, Canadian and Japanese officials will engage in a series of bilateral meetings with a focus on fortifying commercial ties and fostering collaboration between industries and government bodies on both sides. Additionally, a number of Memorandums of Understanding and Collaboration will be signed to solidify Canada’s commitment to the Indo-Pacific region.

Media are invited to attend the signing ceremony.
