Cardiff University, College of Biomedical and Life Sciences, School of Dentistry invites applications for the post of Clinical Lecturer (Academic Trainee) in Orthodontics (full-time).

The remit of the post will be dependent on past experience and qualifications on appointment. The expectation is that the appointed candidate will register for, and undertake a PhD, and undertake formal specialty training in Orthodontics, unless these have already been completed.
Applicants will have the opportunity to apply for the award of a National Training Number (NTN) in Orthodontics as part of the appointment process. The applicant will be expected to complete benchmarking for their NTN during a 12 month probational period with a view to start their specialist training following successful completion of the probational period.
The nature of this post will require the successful applicant to work from the Dental School, University Dental Hospital, Heath Park Campus, Cardiff for the majority of the time. Travel between sites may be required for training and education purposes.
Fitness to practice: candidates must have satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in England & Wales / Disclosure Scotland (PVG) in Scotland / Access NI in Northern Ireland or equivalent. Applicants must also meet professional health requirements (in line with GDC Standards).
The successful candidate will be awarded an appropriate honorary contract by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

This post is full time (40 hours per week), open-ended and available immediately.
Salary: £39,371 – £73,237 per annum (Clinical Grade D1). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
