Cardiff University, College of Biomedical and Life Sciences, School of Dentistry invites applications for the post of Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry (full-time).

We are seeking a clinical academic to deliver the highest standards of dental education for our undergraduate students within our supportive and strong academic teaching structure. We are looking for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enthusiastic about developing innovative teaching for our undergraduate students. If you are well organised, enjoy working as part of a team, and can demonstrate leadership qualities or leadership potential, we want to hear from you.
Using our staff-development pathway, we will support you to achieve the highest standards of dental education for our undergraduate students and provide opportunities for career progression and development. This post would be ideally suited to dental practitioners with an interest in the education and teaching of dental students, and a desire to pursue a higher research degree as a first step into a clinical academic career.
This post includes the opportunity for a successful and suitable appointee to apply to Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) for the award of a specialty National Training Number (NTN) in Restorative Dentistry following completion of the University requirements associated with the post including any probationary period.
The post holder will be based at the University Dental Hospital, Heath Park Campus, Cardiff, although may be required to attend our Outreach sites.
The successful candidate will be awarded an appropriate honorary contract by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

This post is full time (40 hours per week), open-ended and available from 1 September 2023.
Salary: £37,496 – £69,749 per annum (Clinical Grade D1). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
