UCL Medical School (UCLMS) is committed to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education and has a strong reputation for teaching, informed by cutting-edge research. UCLMS is looking to recruit a Clinical Lecturer (Teaching) to support the delivery of high quality medical education and research within the MBBS programme.
About the role
This is a maternity cover role for 12 months starting in August 2023.
The main duties of the post holder will be in the continued development of our electronic portfolio. The post holder will also be involved in planning, coordination and delivery of the undergraduate assessments for the MBBS programme. The post holder will contribute to the design and development of written and practical assessments across all specialty areas and in all years of the degree programme, including the blueprinting and standard setting process.
Additionally, the post holder will be involved in delivering outputs from our existing assessment and feedback research projects and populating the ePortfolio Moodle site.
The post holder will be expected to be committed to continuing professional education and to undertake other specific training courses as necessary within and outside the College.
About you
The Clinical Lecturer (Teaching) will either be a specialist trainee at grade ST4 or higher, or a post-CCT clinician with previous experience and a good working knowledge of medical education, particularly in assessment. The post holder should have an enthusiasm for embedding a culture of excellence and innovation into our undergraduate programme.
