About the role

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Obstetric Research Fellow to undertake research for the MRC funded MiBirth study using advanced MR imaging in late gestation to better predict mode of birth. Duties and responsibilities: recruitment for the MiBirth study, supervise scanning & reporting of imaging, undertake data entry and its analysis, write up and present study results. The post would be suitable for applicants wishing to undertake a PhD for postgraduate medically trained candidates. This 1 FTE post is based at UCL, UCL Hospital and at King’s College London at St Thomas’ Hospital. There will be clinical duties related to the research project. This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. About you

Applicants should be medically qualified with full GMC registration; an obstetric qualification and an interest in fetal imaging, MRI & Artificial Intelligence would be desirable. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage projects, work to deadlines and collaborate with clinical teams.

The pay scale will be one of the following: Junior Doctor’s pay scale, StR pay scale or UCL CL7/8 Pay scale. Salary point will be restricted to £46,000 – £50,000 per annum, incl. London Weighting, depending on previous experience and grade/spine. The role is available for 2.5 years in the first instance, but it’s likely to be extended beyond 2.5 years, subject to available funding.
