We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical teacher to join our physiotherapy team on a fixed term basis; the role is 18.5 hours per week for a 6-month period commencing September 2023. We are open to discussing potential secondments or working arrangements with current employers.
You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience innovatively, developing and delivering clinical teaching within our BSc and M-Physiotherapy programmes. You will also have opportunity to provide supervision and teaching in our University of Bradford Physiotherapy Clinic, which provides health checks and physiotherapy services for students, staff and the local community.
We work across 3 home NHS Trusts within Bradford Airedale and Craven as well as across other NHS Trusts and private, independent, voluntary and sporting organisations in our region and further afield.
In addition to learning and teaching, our internationally renowned applied health research is undertaken in partnership with the NHS and is impacting positively on health outcomes locally and regionally and is contributing to knowledge of international significance. Colleagues from our faculty helped to establish the Born in Bradford cohort study and continue to lead many of its recent developments. The University has invested significantly in high quality research facilities and space such as the Digital Health Enterprise Zone (DHEZ, in collaboration with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council), and the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, Bradford Institute for Health Research, and the Wolfson Institute).
We welcome applicants who bring a diversity of professional and/or lived experience from across communities who are currently underrepresented in our teams, including individuals from BAME and LGBTQ+ communities, who would be positive role models for our students, colleagues and service users.
The University offers an attractive range of staff benefits, including a career development framework, discounted Gym membership and will support relocation assistance. Due to the sensitive nature of this post, applicants will be required to disclose details of any criminal record including convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings and any other information, which may have a bearing on their suitability for the post. The University of Bradford is an equal opportunities employer and disclosure need not necessarily be a bar to obtaining the position.
Informal enquiries prior to application can be made to Lorna Campbell l.a.campbell@bradford.ac.uk
