The University of Surrey is one of the leading courses in the UK to have developed specific pathways on the Clinical Psychology Programme. The Programme has set up a specialist CBT pathway that was has been accredited by the BABCP since in 2019. Embedded within the PsychD in Clinical Psychology, the pathway confers Level 2 BABCP accreditation on completion for a number of trainees. Alongside the specialist pathway for selected trainees, all trainees joining the Programme from September 2023 will meet requirements for Level 1 BABCP accreditation. This post is to support the development and delivery of both our Level 1 and Level 2 BABCP provision.

This is one of three pathways being offered. The Programme team is committed to supporting trainees to develop core competencies and offering choice around more advanced competencies. The team are a welcoming and innovative, group with a wide variety of academic interests and expertise. We have an outstanding reputation for applied psychology training and research.

We are looking for an experienced CBT practitioner to join our expanding team at the University of Surrey in Guildford. The ideal candidate will be confident in their clinical and leadership skills, passionate about CBT practice and keen to share this knowledge with others. The candidate will be accredited by the BABCP and have worked within the NHS.  

The core role and purpose of this post is to support the development and delivery of our BABCP accredited pathways on the PsychD in Clinical Psychology at Surrey. The post holder will work closely with our clinically trained team members, the Programme Directors, colleagues from other CBT programmes within the Department and various stakeholders.
