The role

Building on the strength in infectious diseases and vaccinology at the University of Bristol, we are able to invite applications for a 0.5 FTE Consultant Senior Lecturer in Infectious Diseases & Vaccinology as part of a full-time joint appointment with UKHSA within an NHS Trust (within England) composed of the 5 academic PAs and up to 5 clinical PAs. This post is open to candidates with GMC registration and appropriate accreditation, PhD and teaching qualification and/or experience. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an outstanding academic clinician researcher, mentor and teacher to add 5 academic PAs to an existing up to 0.5 FTE clinical consultant position. The post is based in the Bristol Medical School: School of Population Health Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Bristol.

What will you be doing?

The Consultant Senior Lecturer will establish an independent research group with externally awarded competitive funding within the Bristol Vaccine Centre, collaborating both internally and externally and will participate fully in undergraduate and post graduate teaching and management within the host schools and faculty. They will combine the work of this post with UKHSA/NHS clinical duties.

  • You have appropriate clinical speciality training accreditation and academic qualifications.
