The role

We are seeking an exceptional Dental Therapist to join our dental team and deliver outstanding education and team training to our undergraduate students at Bristol’s new state-of-the-art Dental School. Working within your Scope of Practice you will be responsible for the delivery of academic and clinical teaching to our undergraduates, working in an integrated teaching environment.

What will you be doing?

The appointee will be responsible for direct teaching of specific areas assigned to them, aligned to their expertise and within our undergraduate curricula. Part of our education strategy is to have a strong emphasis on integrating learning across all disciplines and team training. This concept starts in the Clinical Skills Laboratory and culminates in a purpose-built General Practice Simulation suite for our Final year BDS and BSc students.

The role holder will undertake direct clinical supervision of students, along with other teaching and learning activities, working alongside other academic colleagues to deliver an outstanding student experience.

You should apply if

The successful candidate would ideally have experience of teaching, this may be at a practice-level, but should be able to demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. The appointee will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to foster collaborative approaches across clinical disciplines.

Additional information

Contract type: Open ended

Work pattern: Full time and part time available. 

Shift pattern: 100% time (35 hours) and 40% time (14 hours)
