About the Role:

The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including doctoral level studies. Our new School of Medicine was established in 2018, and offers a five year undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. We also offer a wide range of post graduate short courses and conferences. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research informed educational experience. 

We are looking for a new Head of Undergraduate Medicine. This role will provide leadership to our undergraduate medicine course. You will be required to work closely with our external partners as well as regulators.

With primary medical qualification and GMC registration with a current license to practise in the UK, you’ll have higher degree or relevant, professional qualification in subject discipline at postgraduate level. You’ll have experience in credible teaching, learning and research track record and with extensive experience of leading education programmes at a regional, national or international level. You’ll be strong subject expertise in any area of the School’s work and with knowledge of key issues, current debates and policies in Higher Education. You’ll have excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills, extensive knowledge of undergraduate medicine education.
