Fixed Term until 30 June 2025

The Opportunity:

You will conduct quantitative research and data analyses on an ERC-funded three-generational longitudinal study in South Africa investigating intergenerational violence transmission, associated risk factors and outcomes. You will also support the Principal Investigator and collaborators at University of the Witwatersrand and Wits Health Consortium in managing and running the data collection.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant social or health sciences
  • Relevant postdoctoral experience (or equivalent work experience) of survey methodology and quantitative research, with excellent skills in quantitative data analysis and statistics including experience of statistical software (e.g. Stata/R or MPlus or equivalent), and ability to understand and manipulate data.
  • Demonstrable post-doctoral or equivalent work experience, particularly around health or violence.
  • Experience communicating with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
