A young Israeli couple was murdered by Hamas terrorists who broke into their home — but not before the parents hid their 10-month-old twins, who were found alive about 14 hours later, according to reports.

Itai and Hadar Berdichevsky, both 30, were attacked in their home in Kfar Gaza, a kibbutz in southern Israel located about three miles east of Gaza, according to Israeli outlet Walla.

The parents, who hid their babies in a bomb shelter, tried to fight off the terrorists but were murdered, the news outlet reported.

Israeli troops rescued the unharmed babies about 14 hours later and handed them to their grandmother.

The unprecedented attack by Hamas on Saturday has left more than 1000 dead on both sides.

Fighters from the Islamist group killed at least 900 Israelis, left about 2000 injured and abducted dozens more as they attacked Israeli communities in the deadliest onslaught the nation has seen since the Yom Kippur War in 1973.

At least 260 people were killed in a massacre at the Tribe of Nova music festival after heavily armed terrorists paraglided across the Gaza Strip border.
