As an array of international pop stars performed at King Charles’s coronation concert in Windsor, the internet swiftly geared into a meme fest.

The star-studded event saw performances from Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, Paloma Faith and Nicole Scherzinger to name a few.

But despite the momentous occasion, that didn’t stop the internet from having a laugh at the kings’ expense.

See some of the best below.

The royal family may have danced the night away in the royal box as pop legend and American Idol judge Lionel Richie performed.

But many viewers say they were left disappointed by Richie as he played the Commodores smash Easy.

“Disappointing to hear Lionel Richie struggle at #CoronationConcert, hoping for better performances in the future,” a Twitter user posted.

One special little royal was noticeably absent from the festivities — and the internet made sure we didn’t forget.

Prince Louis, was tucked in bed while his family was at the royal box during the show.

Vieers also caught on Prince William’s cute father-and-son moment with eldest son Prince George.

Singer Katy Perry’s gold gown didn’t escape the meme fest either.

Paloma Faith brought a dramatic look with her red maxi gown and oversized balloon sleeves, but just like Perry, her edgy touch made the perfect match for a joke.

Even Princess Anne couldn’t avoid the internet.

The UK’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty copped it from a Twitter account dedicated to making fun of government and its policies.

It’s no surprise King Charles also copped some flak, after he took the reign from his late mother Queen Elizabeth II – 70 years after her crowning.

And while most of the 20,000 people who attended the concert seemed thrilled to be there, one man was caught with a very different reaction.
