Research group
The Psychosis Collective is a group of researchers who are dedicated to advancing our understanding of psychosis. Psychosis is the hallmark of severe brain disorders such as schizophrenia and affects millions of people worldwide. Our team is made up of experts in the field of neuroscience, immunology, and psychiatry, and we are constantly working to push the boundaries of our biological knowledge about psychosis.
Research project
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that has the potential to directly impact the treatment and daily lives of individuals with schizophrenia. The project is aimed at developing a ground-breaking diagnostic assay to detect autoantibodies in schizophrenia. By identifying autoantibodies, we can improve the accuracy of diagnoses and ultimately provide better care for people living with this condition.

This includes carrying out experimental work independently as well as under supervision. Experiments will include online behavioural experiments in the general population and in-person or remote behavioural experiments in people with psychosis and controls.
- To support our collaboration with NHS partners
This includes communication with the research delivery team to support recruitment and data collection in people with psychosis and controls
- To promote a positive, motivating, and inclusive lab atmosphere.
About us
The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical discovery institute dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying health and disease.
