Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in General Nursing within UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems.
The School

The UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems is a constituent School of the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences. The School is a national provider of undergraduate and postgraduate registration education programmes in nursing and midwifery and graduate-taught programmes in health systems and health professions’ education. Its programmes emphasise clinical expertise, critical inquiry, leadership development, personal growth, communication, teamwork, interprofessional collaboration, and lifelong learning. The position
The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Nursing to contribute to teaching, curriculum design and enhancement and academic administration on the School’s undergraduate and graduate-taught General Nursing programmes, and to work with clinical personnel and other external partners in supporting student learning and curriculum review and enhancement. In addition to teaching and administrative duties, the post holder will engage in research and scholarship in the discipline and will contribute to the development of the School’s research agenda. Based on level of prior experience, the post holder will be expected to assume leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Dean and Head of School.
Salary: 95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) €59,370 – €94,015 per annum (pro rata)
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
