The post will be held by a practicing specialist biomedical or clinical scientist in the field of Blood Sciences, who will carry out educational and research activities, as well as work with colleagues on securing placement opportunities.

About you

You will be HCPC registered and have previous or existing professional experience in a biomedical science lab in a hospital or private practice, preferably at the NHS.

Exciting work you will do:

The appointee would be expected to carry out core activities in three areas: learning and teaching; research, knowledge transfer and professional impact; and administration, management, leadership, and citizenship.

The skills and experience you will need to be successful:

  • Registered as a Biomedical/Clinical Scientist with the HCPC.
  • Hold a Specialist Diploma or equivalent post graduate qualification in Blood Sciences such as in Haematology, Blood transfusion, Immunology, Clinical Biochemistry…..etc.
  • Be familiar with the process and requirements of HCPC registration.
  • Teaching experience at the HE level.
  • Must have experience in the NHS, or in private Blood Sciences laboratories.

Details about the role

Full time (35 hours per week) and permanent position.

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
