About The Role
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Clinical Communication. This post is focused on facilitating students to acquire, apply and retain clinical communication skills across the various medical subspecialities. You will receive training in teaching from a team of enthusiastic clinicians and teachers.
Based out of the West Smithfield Campus in London, with travel to Whitechapel and Mild End Campuses, as well as a various of NHS partners across North East London.

About Us
The Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) is one of six institutes that forms the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD). IHSE are responsible for the delivery of the faculty’s medical degree programmes, including the MBBS. The Clinical and Communication Skills Unit (CCSU) is a purpose-built facility enabling students across the healthcare professions, to develop a range of anatomical, clinical and communication skills in simulated supportive environments. The CCSU team are friendly, approachable, and supportive team. You will be joining us at an exciting time of innovation and curriculum reform across the flagship MBBS course programme.

This role is offered on an indefinite basis at 0.5 FTE (i.e., 17.5 hours / week), with a Grade 6 starting salary ranging between £52,549 – £58,595 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
