In this operational role you will work collaboratively with both academic and clinical colleagues to ensure effective support of students within clinical placements and teaching in preparing nursing students for work related learning, supporting the quality assurance of placement learning environments and promoting the employability of our students within the School of Nursing and Allied Health.

This is a part time fixed term contract for 14 months working 2 days a week (0.4 fte). 

As a Lecturer within the SNAH, you will be part of the teaching team in a developing capacity. You will be provided with assistance to adapt into the Higher Education environment, with the support of a mentor and/or senior colleague. You will contribute to the development and assessment of practice learning opportunities for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing students, providing them with a high-quality, research informed educational experience, leading to an understanding of healthcare. You will also contribute to developments in response to the professional and interprofessional agendas, supporting collaborations with clinical colleagues to develop and prepare appropriate clinical placements including educational audit and clinical liaison.  

Those wishing to apply must be a practicing registered adult nurse currently on the NMC register with a breadth of knowledge in NMC based practice-based learning, ideally be an associate fellow of advance HE, and have an awareness of current initiatives underpinning nurse education.
