Grade 8 – £39,347 – £44,263/Grade 9 – £46,974 – £54,395 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic, solution focussed and motivated lecturer who has a breadth of Occupational Therapy experience.

You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to design, develop, innovate and deliver clinical and theoretical teaching that supports learning and student attainment. Depending on your experience and prior level of study you will also contribute to post graduate education. We work across 3 home NHS Trusts within the Bradford, Airedale and Craven districts as well as other NHS Trusts, private, independent, voluntary and sporting organisations within West Yorkshire and further afield.

You will work interdisciplinary within the School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery, but also the Faculty of Health Studies and the wider University, making use of the different development opportunities available. You will work collaboratively with our students, service user and carer groups, and NHS education partners to continually improve and develop our learning community and business opportunities. The Faculty of Health Studies scholarship and research activity has a strong focus on reducing the burden of illness, reducing health inequalities within society and enhancing the effectiveness of health care interventions. As such, you will be expected to develop your own teaching, scholarship and research profile.

We welcome applicants who identify as being from BAME and LGBT+ communities who are currently underrepresented across our teaching and research teams who could be positive role models for our students and colleagues. We value diverse voices and lived experiences.

The University offers an attractive range of staff benefits, including a career development framework, and will support relocation assistance. We are also open to discussing potential secondments or working arrangements with current employers.

In return, we offer

  • 25 days holiday and 13 statutory and customary days (taken at Easter and Christmas).
  • Family-friendly policies
  • Unique fitness Centre with membership offers – www.bradford.ac.uk/unique
  • On site nursery offering high quality child care for 0 – 5 year olds.

  • Generous reward schemes, including car leasing, cycle to work, holiday purchase, shopping discounts

Full details of the benefits on offer can be viewed here www.bradford.ac.uk/human-resources/employee-reward-and-benefits.

Due to the sensitive nature of this post, applicants will be required to disclose details of any criminal record including convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings and any other information, which may have a bearing on their suitability for the post. The University of Bradford is an equal opportunities employer and disclosure need not necessarily be a bar to obtaining the position.
