The Pharmacy team currently deliver a Postgraduate Programme in Pharmacy Practice, a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accredited multidisciplinary independent prescribing qualification, and educational supervision training for pharmacists. We also provide teaching and supervision on medicines management to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare professionals in the School of Healthcare and Faculty of Medicine and Health. Our high-quality Medicines Optimisation research informs national and international policy and practice to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines. For example, our research into reducing medication errors and improving safety in care homes has had a significant impact on policy and practice.

As a Lecturer in Pharmacy you will have an MSc (PhD or equivalent is desirable), and experience in educational provision. You will also be a registered with the GPhC or be eligible for registration, have practice experience, and have a teaching qualification or be willing to undertake one when in post.
