Lecturer in Physical Activity, Exercise & Health Promotion

Hours of work: Full-time (1.0fte)

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: The starting salary will be from £37,099 to £44,263 per annum in Grade 7, depending on qualifications and experience.

The School of Sport & Wellbeing at Leeds Trinity University is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high performing member of staff to teach on our Physical Activity, Exercise & Health Promotion, Sport & Exercise Science, and MSc Health & Wellbeing programmes. An ability to contribute to other areas of the curriculum, such as in nutrition or research methods, would also be advantageous. Applicants should be a graduate in a related subject, hold a relevant master’s degree (e.g., physical activity/exercise, health promotion, sport & exercise science), and ideally have experience of health-related interventions and hold industry recognised vocational qualifications.

In addition, you will provide pastoral and subject-specific student support, supervise projects and placement, and undertake administrative tasks associated with the above. You will also contribute where appropriate to research/knowledge exchange and/or professional practice and scholarship, commensurate to the nature of the post. For those not holding a teaching qualification in higher education, support can be provided to undertake the in-house PGCertHE.

This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth, Leeds. Through our agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
