Open ended contract: Permanent

Full time contract: 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced academic with knowledge and skills in the teaching of psychological research methods, including quantitative statistics and associated research design. You will contribute to core teaching, student research supervision and staff mentorship and support in the area of quantitative research methods and statistics.

The opportunity:

This post offers the successful candidate the chance to join a department with a strong track record in teaching and research in applied psychology, particularly with a focus on clinical and health aspects. You will work with students at MSc and Doctoral level, providing innovative teaching and supervision experiences, helping them to master the quantitative research skills they need. Your work will also help staff to develop their skills and support their own and their student’s research.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Relevant undergraduate and post graduate degree in applied psychology, behavioural science, or similar
  • Expertise in quantitative research methods and their teaching
  • Track record of recent publications in a field related to applied, clinical or health psychology
  • Strong potential to develop an independent research programme
