The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Infectious Diseases who will develop and maintain a leading research programme. This research programme will be internationally competitive, attract external funding, and have the capacity to generate impact. In addition to developing a research programme the successful candidate will work alongside our teaching team to contribute to education activities within the School. In order to achieve this you will be able to incorporate your knowledge, expertise and experiences into exciting learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

We are looking for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer with a genuine love for knowledge discovery, a capacity for innovation, and a strong collaborative ethic. You should have a Ph.D. in a field of infectious disease, and a track record of academic achievement. You will be assessed on a range of achievements including publications, obtaining competitive funding, generating collaborations and partnerships, promoting the careers of junior scientists, professional awards, engagement and outreach activities.
