Applications are invited for this Medical Education Fellow position, which has a focus on Primary Care and is based on the Brunel campus in Uxbridge, West London. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in medical education and experience of undergraduate teaching. You should have completed core training in Primary Care or be in Primary Care specialty training. The post is for a period of 12 months, either as an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience.

Brunel Medical School welcomed its first intake of MBBS students in September 2022. It has a number of distinctive features, including team-based learning, programmatic assessment, a House Tutor support system and early exposure to patients in the community. The primary care curriculum extends across all five years of the programme. The PA programme, established at Brunel in 2016, will join the Medical School in August 2023, increasing the opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching and interprofessional learning.

The successful applicant will support teaching and assessment in relation to the Primary Care curriculum, as well as contribute to the design, development and review of educational resources. Although the main focus of this position is the MBBS programme, the successful applicant will also contribute to the PA programme and to interprofessional initiatives. They will work collaboratively with other education teams within the Medical School, contributing to other parts of the programme, as needed.

This Medical Education Fellow position represents an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing primary care team delivering innovative educational programmes at London’s newest medical school.

The successful applicant will be expected to work as a clinician in Primary Care.
