We are looking to appoint an exceptional person to join the Cardiovascular Pathology Unit and Cardiology Section at St George’s to deliver research based technical service to the newly established NIHR BRC Biobank formed as part of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre partnership with Barts/QMUL. The post holder responsibilities will include handling of tissues and pathological samples, preparation of histological sections, creating a digital imaging archive and maintenance of archival tissues and databases.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
• Experience in histology based research co-ordination.
• High attention to detail including when under pressure.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems.
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner.
