Closing Date: Sunday 19 November 2023
Interview Date: Thursday 30 November 2023

Are you an experienced Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) with a research profile in addiction/mental health? If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

We are looking for a PDRA to lead on a gambling-related project. The project, funded by the NIHR Policy Research Programme, aims to ascertain the feasibility of introducing gambling screening in mental health and drug and alcohol services, and what the facilitators and barriers are in both screening and referral. It will also test if screening will identify substantial proportions of individuals who are experiencing harmful gambling.

The 2-year mixed-methods project starting in January 2024, will run in full partnership with individuals from GamLEARN, the Gambling Lived Experience and Recovery Network (GamLEARN), which supports and empowers those who have experienced gambling related harm.

You will need to have a strong background in research methods. Experience in designing, conducting, and project managing original research, or working with partner agencies and service users, would be advantageous.

You should have, or expect to soon obtain, a PhD in a relevant field, such as psychology, nursing, social science, allied health, or health services research. You will also need to have the ability to travel to other sites throughout the UK.

This post is fixed term for 24 months. Enquiries about the post can be made to Amanda Roberts, Professor of Psychology, at aroberts@lincoln.ac.uk.
