This is a 2 year fixed term contract

The University of Gloucestershire seeks to appoint a post-doctoral Research Assistant with an interest in immersive sound technologies, nature, and ageing within the context of care homes to work on a 2 year UKRI funded interdisciplinary project SOUND, ENVIRONMENT AND AGEING: BRINGING THE OUTSIDE INTO CARE HOMES (SAGE).

The post holder will work with senior research staff on the SAGE project, facilitate sound recording and listening workshops with older people, work with UK care homes to construct spaces of listening and contribute to report and publication writing.

This is an excellent position for a post-doctoral candidate developing a career in creative sound and/or ageing and wellbeing research. You will gain experience with a supportive and high-performing research team, enabling you to use practical skills in collaborative working.You will take the lead on implementing workshops and project events, and contribute to project publications.  A UK driving licence is essential as much of the research will involve travel, often to rural areas.
