We seek to appoint a talented individual to the role of Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join our large research project entitled: Disentangling involvement in and the impact of integrated health and criminal justice systems: A North of England Research Consortia’, with Dr Michelle Addison as dep-PI (Durham University) and Dr Steph Scott as PI (Newcastle University), funded by the ESRC. You will conduct high-quality research that will focus on understanding and evaluating health and care inequalities and social harms experienced by marginalised and minoritised communities within the criminal justice system in England and Wales. As part of this, you will be involved in applying this learning to explore how health and justice systems could be adapted or improved to mitigate social harms experienced by marginalised and minoritised communities a! nd reduce health and social inequalities. This role includes conducting comparative qualitative case studies to understand the health and justice experiences of marginalised and minoritized communities using an intersectional lens (for example: young people, women, neurodiverse communities or ageing populations) at varying levels of involvement in the criminal justice system.
