We are seeking a talented, organised and highly motivated individual to work as a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Eye and Vision Sciences at the University of Liverpool funded by an EPSRC Award.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a cross-disciplinary team at The University of Liverpool working on an innovative project to develop and evaluate novel, fully-automatic AI-powered diagnostic tools to support the accurate prediction of diabetic neuropathy.

You will be based in the Department of Eye and Vision Sciences in the Institute of Life Courses and Medical Sciences, and work closely with a large interdisciplinary research team of academic and clinician colleagues in Liverpool and Manchester.

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.

The post is available on a fixed term basis for 4 years until 31 July 2027.
