We are looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work jointly across the Liverpool City Region Civic Data Cooperative (LCR CDC) and DynAIRx (AIs for dynamic prescribing optimisation and care integration in multimorbidity) programmes. DynAIRx will be part of and utilise the data environment that the CDC aims to facilitate. 

Our vision is to create a vibrant, internationally visible civic data environment creating a common purpose to make health-related data from the region’s people work for the people. To do this we will be creating a Civic Data Cooperative. This cooperative will be based on a collaborative, open approach to governance the co-operative will support people and organisations to improve the lives of LCR residents while driving economic growth in health tech and digital across LCR.

The Civic Data Cooperative will work with a wide range of partners to deliver on this vision, including the University of Liverpool, NHS organisations, Liverpool Health Partners, Local Authorities, and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, as well as local commercial and international organisations.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the team, working across the two programmes. Reporting to the CDC Management Team and DynAIRx Principal Investigators, you will be responsible for embedding the public voice within the work of both programmes. An excellent team player, you will be used to working as part of a diverse team, to contribute to successful project delivery.

You should have relevant professional experience of public engagement in health and/or social care research, experience of qualitative research design, delivery and evaluation, as well as hold (or about to obtain) a PHD (or equivalent experience) in health or social sciences, or another related field.

You will bring strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, excellent organisation, and a flexible approach to working across a range of projects.

This post is available until 31 March 2025 (with the option for extension) with hybrid/flexible working.  When on Campus the role will be based in the Digital Innovation Facility.

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
