Who we’re looking for:
Plymouth Marjon University are seeking talented individuals to join our ambitious team within the School of Health and Wellbeing to support our apprentices and students in the practice-based environment. You will have proven knowledge of the health and care sector and be passionate about teaching and learning as well as supporting individuals to develop and grow.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to support us on our journey to becoming the provider of choice for professional healthcare programmes in the region. Applicants must have strong team working skills, in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be hold NMC or HCPC registration, with comprehensive post registration experience and an understanding of the wider sector.
What you’d be doing:
You will be responsible for facilitating practice education experiences for students and apprentices in the practice learning environment. You will provide support and guidance to students and apprentices throughout their practice education experiences, collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective and coordinated learning experiences, and participate in quality improvement initiatives related to practice education. Responsibilities of this post will include:
- Facilitate practice education experiences for students and apprentices in various settings, ensuring they are appropriate, safe, and meet learning objectives.
- Provide support and guidance to students and apprentices during their practice education experiences, including feedback on their performance and debriefing after experiences.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as educators, preceptors, and supervisors, to ensure that students and apprentices receive effective and coordinated practice education experiences.
- Participate in the development and delivery of professional educational programmes to support practice education, including orientation and training for students and apprentices, preceptors, and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student and apprentice practice education experiences and evaluations.
- Monitor and report on student and apprentice progress and performance during their practice education experiences.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to practice education, including evaluation and feedback mechanisms.
