Practice Placement Manager – Nursing and Allied Health
Hours of Work: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: The starting salary will be from £37,099 up to £39,347 per annum in
Grade 7a depending on qualifications and experience
Working within the Graduate Outcomes and Enterprise Directorate this role will lead on establishing and consequently leading the Practice Placement Unit for our Allied Health and Nursing programmes. Including the organisation and coordination of students undertaking the following programmes: BSc (Hons) Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, BSc (Hons) Registered Nurse (Children’s) with further Nursing and Allied Health Programmes to follow in future years.
This role will ensure that efficient and effective processes and systems and policies are established/applied to ensure a successful high quality, compliant placement lifecycle, including building relationships with a range of stakeholders including placement providors across the breadth of health and social care providers, academics, students and HEIs.
The role will manage and lead a small team, ensuring that all students are allocated to relevant practice placements and any concerns, issues and matters are addressed and adhere to policy and process.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in managing placement lifecycles whilst demonstrating experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders and an ability to work collaboratively.
