An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Professor of Evidence Synthesis to lead a new initiative within our highly multidisciplinary community of academics, researchers and teachers in the newly configured School of Medicine and Population Health.

You will support the establishment of the Clinical and Biomedical Sciences Evidence Synthesis Group within the new School. The Group will be located within the Evidence Synthesis Centre within the Division of Population Health, which has one of the largest concentrations of evidence synthesis staff in the UK together with a strong track record of applied health research (~£20 million in programme grant income since 2016).

You will take the lead role in evidence synthesis activities working closely with clinical and biomedical science researchers across the Faculty of Health to identify opportunities for new grant funding, support existing programmes and deliver specialist advice and training. The Group will, in addition to this post, include three new appointments providing you with the scope to build your own team around you.

You will have demonstrable experience of research leadership, management and collaborative working along a strong international reputation and a dedication to improving equality and diversity.

We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
