We have an opportunity for a Research Assistant/Associate to play a pivotal role applying data science, mendelian randomisation and cutting edge pharmacogenomic analyses to support and drive new research studies to deliver the Pontecorvo Chair objectives.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.

Furthermore, the postholder will be encouraged to secure substantial grant funding to fuel research endeavours, produce high-impact publications and drive the dissemination of research findings across reputable scientific journals, solidifying SCMH’s reputation as a leader in the pharmacogenomics landscape.

Candidates should be qualified to SCQF Level 10 (Honours degree) in a relevant subject or a cognate discipline, or equivalent for Grade 6 and for Grade 7 SCQF level 12 (PhD) qualification in data science, health informatics, statistics, statistics and mathematics or biostatistics applied to genomics or pharmacogenomics, with experience of personal development in a similar or related role(s).
