This post is full time and has funding for up to 2.5 years.
We have an opportunity for a Research Assistant/Associate to make a leading contribution to a research project investigating glial cell function in the context of multiple sclerosis. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in neuroscience and/or immunology and/or molecular biology.
The successful candidate will also be expected to support and contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as assist and support this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
For appointment at Grade 7, the successful candidate will require a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) qualification, or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, with experience in Neuroscience, Neuroimmunology, Immunology or Molecular Biology. The successful candidate should also have up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in areas related to the field of research.
