Fixed-Term / 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Full-time / 35 hours per week
We are looking for a committed research assistant to conduct and support research aimed at understanding molecular alterations of the Blood-Brain Barrier in mouse models of disease and human tissue; to establish, carry out and optimise experimental protocols; and to perform laboratory organisational activities.
The opportunity:
Includes to work with the PI and lab members to gather and analyse research data using a range of clearly defined research methods, prepare reports of data findings, conduct literature reviews and/or database searches as appropriate to the research parameters, and perform general laboratory management and maintenance tasks.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- B.Sc. (or equivalent qualification) or higher degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Genetics or related field.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and in good English, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good organizational skills and time management.
