We are seeking to appoint a part time Project Research Assistant to be the main point of contact and support Professor Konstantinos Gerasimidis and other members of the research team in the co-ordination and administration of a portfolio of clinical nutrition studies including a dietary trial in adult patients with Crohn’s disease receiving therapy with biologics. The study is funded by The Helmsley Charitable Trust and it is registered in clinicaltrials.gov https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04859088
The postholder will liaise directly with the research team, the study clinical collaborators and the research support office and other services of the University of Glasgow and NHS to ensure that effective communication takes place and a seamless research management support service is delivered.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
Candidates should have specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of conducting human trials in nutrition, dietetics or in life sciences in general.
This post is part time (21 hours per week) with funding until 30 April 2025 in the first instance, with a possibility of an extension giving a contract length of 31 months in total.
