About the role
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding quantitative researcher to undertake genetic epidemiological analyses as part of the UKRI funded ‘Causal determinants of Dementia with a Vascular Component (DVC-RISK)’ Study, in the Division of Psychiatry at UCL.
The post is offered as Research Assistant (Grade 6B) or Research Fellow (Grade 7), depending on experience, from 12th June 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter. Appointment at Research Fellow, Grade 7 requires a PhD and relevant experience in a relevant discipline (or in the process of completing) such as epidemiology, genomics, statistical or data science.
The post is initially offered for two years at 100% full-time equivalent. This post is part of a longer-term funded project and therefore there may be an opportunity to extend the post for a further two years. We are happy to discuss requests for part-time, flexible and hybrid working.
Appointment details:
- The Research Assistant post is graded on the non-clinical research staff Pay Scale Grade 6B, the annual salary for which ranges from £35,702 to £37,548 (including London Allowance).
- The Research Fellow post is graded on the Non-clinical research staff Pay Scale Grade 7, the annual salary for which ranges from £39,508 to £47,355 per annum (including London Allowance).
- Research Fellows – Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B, with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.
- The appointment is available from 12th June 2023 and is funded for 2 years in the first instance.
