Salary:

£30,487-£45,585 per annum (pro rata if applicable), depending on skills and experience (minimum £33,966 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a key analytical role at the University of Nottingham. The post holder will be responsible for leading new analyses focused on improving the early identification of dementia in the general population and improving the management of children and young people with familial hypercholesterolaemia.

You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in medical statistics, epidemiology, computer science, or a related subject and have experience in analysing “Big Data” including electronic health record data such as CPRD and cohort study data. You will be able to apply a wide range of statistical methods (e.g., Cox Regression, Missing Data Methods, Meta-analysis) in addition to having experience in more advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning methods. You will be expected to plan, write, manage, and conduct all analyses and prepare high quality results summaries for dissemination.

The post holder will be a core member of a large team being led by Professor Nadeem Qureshi and Dr Laila Tata, at the University of Nottingham. The proposed work is funded as part of the NIHR and will require working in partnership with our collaborators at Cambridge, Manchester, and Newcastle universities. The abilities to communicate effectively and work in a team are essential.

This post is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed-term position until 30th September 2024. Arrangements for job share may be considered.
