Applications are invited for the above post based at the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology, which is part of the Lifespan and Population Health Unit within the School of Medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary research team working together with citizen scientists to deliver the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded RAPID Eczema Trials research programme. You will undertake a range of research activities which will include (but are not limited to) contributing to ethics submissions and research protocols, planning and delivering knowledge mobilisation activities, evaluation of research activities and the development of social media activity for the RAPID Eczema Trials research programme including co-production of blogs, podcasts and videos with citizen science research partners.
Candidates must have a PhD (or near to completion of) or equivalent in relevant subject area (e.g. applied health research or health psychology) or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in research area. Previous experience of working in the field of clinical trials research is essential, as is experience of co-production projects conducting research in eczema. Key skills required include excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others.
This role is available on a fixed term basis until end March 2025 (start date 1st January 2024) and is available on a full-time basis (36.25 hours per week). Arrangements for job share may be considered. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
Please note due to the nature of the research programme, there may be requests for occasional evening/weekend working.
