Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate/Fellow to support an innovative study funded by the NIHR Invention for Innovation programme: Clinical Evaluation, Development and Commercialisation of an Antimicrobial – Impregnated Catheter Against Peritonitis (The CAP Study).

The role will primarily focus on overseeing the production, packaging and sterilisation of the antimicrobial impregnated catheters to provide the study sponsor with assurance that each of these processes has been completed to meet standards necessary for use in human study participants. You will also be responsible for producing and maintaining all documentation related to device production and processing. You will generate and collate data before and throughout the clinical trial to fulfil the study obligations to the Research Ethics committee that is of the standard appropriate for future regulatory submissions.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude to overcoming obstacles. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.  Basic IT skills including use of simple Excel spreadsheets is also required. Previous experience in medical device related research is considered essential.

The post is offered on a part time (18.12 hours per week), fixed term contract for 12 months.
