Would you like to contribute to an exciting research programme on public health, epidemiology, economic analysis and simulation modelling?
Are you looking to expand your portfolio and contribute towards supporting a team in further developing and extending the IMPACTNCD health modelling approach here at the Department of Public Health, Policy & Systems at the University of Liverpool?
We want someone who can focus on using, extending and improving the implementation of the simulation tool used within our department. Furthermore, this could be a unique opportunity if you have a strong quantitative research background and want to develop further skills in simulation models with application in population health.
If this excites and motivates you, then please read on.
We seek an enthusiastic individual with a flair for epidemiological analysis, writing data-analytic algorithms, software programming and development. We also welcome applications from candidates with non-health backgrounds or experience with health data (if the applicant can show a good fit with the project compared to people without experience in the field). However, experience in health data and problems will be an advantage. Experience in decision analytics and modelling in health economics is also desirable.
Contact us if you wish to discuss your profile in relation to the post informally.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in epidemiology or health data science by working on innovative applications and gaining experience in health simulation methods as a member of a world-leading health simulation team.
We strongly encourage candidates to contact Dr Kypridemos ckyprid@liverpool.ac.uk and/or Professor O’Flaherty molaher@liverpool.ac.uk for an informal discussion.
This post is fixed-term available now and ending no later than 30 May 2025.
The University has the right to close the vacancy early if it is deemed that there have been enough applications received
Job Ref: 063466 Closing Date: 4 September 2023
