The role

The postholder will be responsible for undertaking research as part of the Health Economics cross-cutting methodology theme of the National Institute for Health and Care Research Applied Research Collaboration West (NIHR ARC West).  ARC West has four research themes – Mental health, Public health and prevention, Integrated and Optimal Care, and Healthier childhoods.

The post will be based in the University of Bristol, at 100% FTE or part-time with funding available to September 2024. The appointed researcher will be supported and supervised by Dr Hugh McLeod who is team lead of ARC West’s health economics methodological team.

What will you be doing?

The researcher will contribute to several ARC West projects, including those addressing stakeholders’ research priorities relating to frailty and end-of-life services as part of the “Integrated and Optimal Care” research theme.

You should apply if

The postholder will have postgraduate training in health economics, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  If appointed at Senior Research Associate level, the postholder will have experience of health economics research, a background in using quantitative methods in applied health or social care research, and a good record of publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Contract type: Fixed term with funding until 30/9/24

Work pattern: Full time (part time considered)
