We are looking for an enthusiastic health economist to join the team working in Warwick.
The work includes economic analysis of NIHR-funded studies, including within-trial analyses and cost-effectiveness modelling. You will have experience in conducting economic evaluations and use of suitable statistical software (e.g. STATA, R or SAS).
The post is within the Centre for Health Economics at Warwick (CHEW), working within multidisciplinary teams, designing and undertaking analyses, and reporting and disseminating findings. Our work is disseminated through impactful journal publications and social media, informing policy at the public, national and international level.
Applicants for Research Fellow should hold a PhD (or equivalent work experience) in health economics or a similar relevant background. The post includes a range of opportunities, including further training and help to develop a future portfolio of work.
Where you have not yet completed a PhD (or don’t have equivalent work experience), a Research Associate post will be offered. You will be encouraged to complete a PhD subsequently, either by finishing one near completion or by publication while working in CHEW (with fees waived). Following award of a PhD the substantive post of Research Fellow will be offered.
If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure (£32,411). Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£33,348).
The Clinical Trials Unit supports hybrid working, allowing flexible working from home (currently up to three days week) as well as in the office.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
