About the role
The postholder will work on a project funded by Marie Curie awarded to Dr White and Dr Kupeli. The project aims to understand the availability, suitability, and accessibility of voluntary sector and local government financial support schemes for people living with terminal illness in England and Wales. To investigate this research question, the postholder will:• Conduct an online search to map voluntary sector and local authority sources of financial support that an individual living with terminal illness could apply for.• Conduct a survey of these providers of financial support.• Interview healthcare staff who refer to the financial support services, the people who run the services, and the people who have applied for financial support. The postholder will be funded for 24 months in the first instance, subject to satisfactory performance during UCL’s standard 9-month probation.
About you
We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher with a strong background in mixed research methodologies; particularly within a palliative or health care context.
