The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS), Centre for Public Health at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint a candidate to the post of Research Fellow.

The aim of this study is to collect information from older adults, care workers and managers within care homes on the links between nutrition and oral health. Data will be collected using qualitative interviews. 

The study is funded by NIHR and the project will be delivered in partnership with the South Eastern Trust.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:

  • Obtained or be about to obtain a PhD in Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition, Psychology, or a closely related discipline
  • A least 3 years of recent relevant research experience in one of the following fields (or a closely related field): Public Health, Oral Health, Nursing, Nutrition
  • Previous experience of working with older adults in a research project
  • Experience of managing and analysing data generated from patient/participant based research
  • Experience of undertaking (design, execution and reporting) qualitative research.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
