Overview of the Role

Can you provide technical support to research studies? Do you have excellent analytical, organisational and time-management skills? Do you have technical skills in microbiology?

You will join an active research group comprising of Research Technicians, PhD students and post-doc researchers, engaged in a diverse range of objectives regarding Healthcare Associated Infection Research. Your key responsibilities will be to conduct housekeeping tasks to a high standard and to provide support to research activities by assisting the research group. You will have an interest in microbiology, and be prepared to learn and gain experience in a range of laboratory techniques.  

With A level, BTEC or equivalent relevant laboratory experience, you will have experience in a microbiology or biomedical science laboratory (this can include a period in further or higher education) with effective practical skills at the laboratory bench and ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
